How long will it take to edit my book?

This really depends on how much work is involved. We generally quote 6 - 8 weeks for a full-length manuscript. This is not set in stone, and in most cases, we complete first round edits well before the 8-week mark. However, if your project is very rough, we may require extra time to make it "just right." If you require a faster turn-around time, please be sure to let us know at the start of your project. In some extreme cases, a rush-order charge may be necessary.

How much do you charge?

Our current rate is $1.50 per page. This is based on Times New Roman 12-point font, double-spaced, and includes two rounds of copy/line edits.

We recently ran across a very informative article, written by an author. Carrie Mumford explained things so well, we reached out to her and asked if she would mind if we shared her post on this page. We have never worked with this author and have not received any compensation for sharing. But if you have ever wondered about the cost of editing, we strongly recommend you read her article at http://www.carriemumford.com/how-much-does-editing-cost

What if I don't like the changes you have suggested?

You are the author. All we can do is offer our best advice and if necessary, explain why we made these suggestions. We follow rules of grammar, mainly utilizing the Chicago Manual of Style. We also LOVE the Oxford Comma!

We are here for you, and should you ever have a question, we welcome your phone calls any time.
